It is important to keep in mind that the use of lubricants, etc during intercourse might also be an issue. Artificial lubricants could snare sperm and also act as sperm-killers (spermicides).

Sometimes, the endometrium could be damaged, and may therefore not provide a foundation where the zygote can attach and develop.
